Grandma Arlene Holds the Baby for the 1st Time / Vovó Arlene Segura o Bebê pela 1a. Vez

After three months of waiting, Arlene was able to hold our little Antonio for the first time on Saturday night. I was not there to see it (the NICU only allows two people at a time on his bed side), but based on the pictures both the baby and the grandma survived without a scratch... :o))

Após 3 meses de espera a mãe da Sandra, Arlene, conseguiu segurar o pequeno Antonio pela primeira vez neste fim-de-semana. Eu não estava lá pra ver (o hospital não permite a visita de mais que duas de cada vez), mas pelas fotografias pode-se ver que tanto o babê quanto a vovó sairam ilesos, sem nenhum arranhão... :0))



After Arlene left, I was able to come in and Antonio was nuzzling and getting all confy with Sandra, and we got to hang out for a while ... until he decided to act up a little, and had one of his bradycardia episodes -- but the nurses guided us to make him snap out of it. Sandra took these pictures of me holding Antonio after the episode.

Depois que a Arlene saiu, eu pude então estrar na NICU e ver o Antonio no colo da mãe tantando mamar. Nós estavamos relaxando e conversando, quando o Antonio resolveu ter um dos seus episódios de bradicárdia - mas as enfermeiras nos guiaram e nós fizemos ele voltar ou normal (parte do treinamento!) A Sandra tirou as fotos abaixo quando eu estava segurando o Antonio logo após o episódio.
