Hello, sorry for the long period of innactivity, but things were a little crazy around here for the last two weeks... anyway, following are a few pictures we took during Antônio's many birthday parties.

Oi, desculpa a falta de updates, mas estávamos num corre-corre danado por aqui nas últimas semanas... de qualquer forma, seguem algumas das fotos que tiramos durante as festinhas de aniversário do Antônio.

In the afternoon of the 7th, after his nap, we had Antônio's first party -- just the family: mommy, daddy, Sassy and Phoebe. He liked opening the presents and eating his cake!


Na tarde do dia 7, tivemos a primaira festinha pro Antônio, somente pra família: mamãe, papai, Sassy e Phobe. Ele adorou abrir seus presentes e comer o bolinho.

On Saturday the 9th, we had a bigger party for Antônio, when we invited some friends and neighbors to celebrate... it was fun, and Antônio really liked the party, food, games, and company! Special thanks to Shannon for capturing the memories of the party by taking the photos.

No sábado dia 9, nós tivemos a segunda festinha, agora convidando alguns amigos e vizinhos para celebrar o niver do Antônio... foi muito legal, e o Antônio se divertiu pacas e adorou a festa, a comida, o bolo, as brincadeiras e a companhia!

Style

Last night we gave Antonio's first hair cut... as you can see, it was about time, but we only cut the ends a little, and he still can style his hair quite well!

Nós cortamos o cabelo do Antônio pela primeira vez ontem à noite... dá pra ver que tava na hora! Ams, só tiramos as pontas e cachos da parte de trás, então ele ainda pode portar seu estilo favorito!

Two Years Later & Dois Anos Mais Tarde

Today is Antônio's birthday... two years old! I can't believe how fast it came, as I still remember those first few days like it was yesterday. Seeing him today, no one believes how did he started up, so I wanted to show to you in one image, how far has he come, how much has he accomplished, how happy he is and make us...

Hoje é o aniversário do Antônio... dois aninhos! Eu não consigo acreditar como o tempo correu, pois u me embro daqueles primeiros dias como tivesse sido ontem. Vendo ele hoje, ninguém acredita como foi o começo da vida dele, então nós queríamos mostrar pra vocês em uma imagem apenas o quanto ele progrediu, o quanto ele alcançou, o quão feliz ele é e nos faz...

Meu querido filho,

Como o papai te ama!

Já fazem dois anos que você entrou no meu mundo, e por isso esses foram os dois melhores anos da minha vida... mesmo durante aquele período difícil para nós dois, sua luz foi forte o suficiente para iluminar a minha vida e ensinar-me o mais sobre ser Pai do que eu nunca poderia ter imaginado.

Nesses dois anos, você me resgatou a fé, me ensinou sobre a esperança, e me mostrou o que é sacrifício... Você me enche de abraços, beijos, e amor... e como você me traz alegrias e me faz sorrir!

Antes mesmo de virar palavra da moda, você foi um guerreiro sem igual, meu filho. Nunca perca essa sua característica, e continues a enfrentar cada desafio que a vida colocar na sua frente como se falhar não fosse uma opção.

Lembre-se sempre de agradecer ao papai do céu todos os dias pelas bênçãos que ele te deu... Você é um milagre nas vidas tanta gente, e já recebestes tantas bênçãos na sua vida! Então lembre-se de que tudo que recebeste foi um presente do papai do céu, e Ele continuará a guiá-lo por toda seu caminho nessa vida.

Estas são as coisas que você me ensinou desde o primeiro momento em que respiraste, ainda com a ajuda dos aparelhos; Eu sou uma pessoa muito melhor por sua causa... Você é o meu melhor amigo, meu herói, minha rocha, meu tudo!

Nunca te esqueças que eu te amo demais, mais do que quaisquer linhas mal escritas poderiam dizer -- e que eu sempre te amarei dessa forma.

My beloved son,

Oh, how much your daddy loves you! It has been two years alreay that you entered in my world, and that made these the two best years of my life… even during those most difficult days, your light shinned so strongly and brightly, that was sufficient to illuminate my life as well, and to teach me more about being Father than I could ever have imagined.

In these two years, you rescued my faith and you taught me about hope and sacrifice… You fill me of hugs, kisses, and love… and you bring me so much happiness!

Even before "warrior" become the word of the moment (in Brazil), you were a warrior without any other, my son. You should always be that way, and face each new challenge that your life will bring as you did not have the option of failing.

You are a miracle and you touched the lives of many people... you received so many blessings already in your short life, so always remember that everything you receive was a gift of the Heavenly Father and the Universe, so you should always be thankful and pray, and He will continue to guide you for your entire life.

These are the things that you taught to me since your first breath, still with the aid of the a thousand machines; and I am a much better person because of you… You are my best friend, my hero, my rock, my everything!

Never forget that I love you so much, that no blog, letter or book would be able to translate it to words -- and that I will always love you that much!

Wedgits tower & Torre de Wedgits

Antônio got a Wedgits set for Christmas, and he loves playing wth it... he builds (and destroys) the most amazing towers! Daddy also likes playing with these building blocks!



O Antônio ganhou um jogo de Wedgits de Natal e se amarra em bricar com os blocos... ele monta as torres mais impressionantes, para logo depois as colocar abaixo! O Papai também gosta de brincar com os ditos cujos!
