A Sandra acabou de me ligar pra avisar que nosso pequeno Antonio começou hoje mais uma "aventura" e vai alternar a cânula nasal com o CPAP, sendo a canula por SEIS horas e o CPAP por tres! Melhor ainda, que ele foi muito bem nas primeiras 6 horas que passou com a cânula!!!
Além disso, o Antonio deve ter estudado para mais um exâme de vista que aconteceu hoje, e ele foi bem melhor dessa vez! Os vasos sangüíneos ainda estão presente na retina agora na Zona II/III (aumentou a área, antes era Zona II), mas em grau 1 (antes grau 2).
O médico disse que, quando se vê uma melhora assim, quer dizer que se tem grande chances da ROP regredir totalmente... ele vai fazer um novõ exame daqui a duas semanas!
E pra terminar, o Antonio está pesando hoje 1.882 gramas.

Sandra just called me to let US know that today Antonio is starting a new adventure... he will start to alternate the nasal cannula and the CPAP, SIX hours on the cannula and three hours on the CPAP! Better yet, the first six hours with the cannula passed without any problems!
And more...apparently Antonio got mad about last week's eye exam results and decided to study for another eye exam he took today, as he did much better! There is still some progression and the doctor could see blood vessels on Zone II-III, but it was back to stage 1.
The eye doctor said that, when we see the eyes getting better like that, there is a good chance that the ROP will totally regress... he will check Antonio back in two weeks.
To finish, Antonio is weighing 4 Lb 2.4 Oz today!
